Ceramika Maltija is part of Malta’s living heritage. It was established in the 1950′s by Cecilia de Trafford in the grounds of Villa Bologna, Attard and still produces the original designs and forms created during the early years. Jasper de Trafford has recently taken over the management of the pottery and is rejuvenating the business with the renovation of the premises, purchase of new equipment and a focus on what is being produced. Slip casting is the main production method and all decorated works are hand painted by in-house artists with lively, vibrant colours.
Medium: Slip cast and hand painted functional ceramics and decorative plaques. Painted designs include fruit, fish and scrolls.
