Dee & Doo
Dee and Doo by Desriee and Dorianne Attard
Desiree and Dorianne are two sisters sharing a passion for the arts. Both went on studying Art and Design, Desiree showing a love for still life drawings, while Dorianne developed into a wonderful photographer. For many years they have experimented with various crafting techniques, from bead accessories, sawing, paper mache, card making and other similar crafts. So they had decided to start their own home grown business in hand made crafts. While Dorianne specializes in her own line of Monstri Boo soft toys, Desiree bases her work on the Japaneses Zakka style, which means creating art out of everyday life objects and scraps.
The soft toys are mainly made out of colourful fur and scraps, with buttons or craft-eyes and filled with polyester cotton. They vary from 8cm high key-chains to bigger, hugble sizes. While Desiree’s collection re-styles everyday objects such as notebooks, frames, pots etc. mainly with buttons, fabric scraps and fancy papers.
